My life long love affair with dogs began as a little girl. I was a tomboy of sorts and loved animals in general, but having my very own dog was always in my deepest desire. However living in the heart of the city, I was not allowed to own a dog. So I lived my dream by reading just about every dog book ever written and drawing pictures of my favorite breeds. After reading Big Red, I knew that someday I would own a beautiful red dog... which I did! Many years later after moving from Boston to a lovely little town in New Hampshire, I talked my poor unsuspecting husband, Wayne, into finally letting me buy my first Irish Setter. I scrimped and saved $150.00 and in 1966 I obtained "Mac Megs Casey O'Shea" changing my life forever. I was Hooked.
Over the years I have judged Sporting dogs and other breeds at many match shows. Held positions on the Board of Directors of several all breed club and specialty clubs along with taking a very active interest in all club events. At present I am a long time very active AKC Hunt Test Judge, a Founding member of the Association and held membership in the IR&W Setter Club of Great Britain since 1992 and a member of the Hunting Dog Club of America.
I have bred and co bred many Irish Setters Bench Champions two of which were Best in Show winners. I have always work my Irish Setters and many were sold a personal gun dogs.
Our first Irish Red & White Setter was Imported in 1992. "Elaphill Freesa" aka Addy, followed by "Glennessa Fire On Ice" aka Morag the first and only to date IR&W bitch imported to the USA in whelp. On May 10th, 1994 our first litter was whelped, five girls and four boys. We kept two girls, Robi Lee Fire Sky and Robi Lee Fire Star. Then came our third Import, "Autumnwood Great Lady" aka Lacey, followed by Scottish Import "Dalriach Alchemy" and Import from Italy "United Spot Night Fire" aka Keelan. AM/CAN RB CH. Robi Lee Fire Sky, CGC,JH was bred to ARBA CH Ardbraccan Free and Easy, CD, CGC on February 8, 2002. She whelped four boys and two girls. Remaining here at Robi Lee are "Robi Lee Sky Walker, AKC Junior Hunter", Robi Lee Sky Hawk" and "Robi Lee Evening Star".
My Goal and burning Passion is to keep this breed genetically healthy, sound in body and mind. A beautiful dog that can spend the day working in the field, win in the Breed, Obedience and Agility ring as a loving, loyal companion
