Updated 1/03/2004

"As of January 1, 2004 the IRWS [ AKC FSS listing number is required] is allowed to enter AKC companion events, obedience, agility, tracking [link to AKC FSS page].
We are awaiting AKC approval for hunt tests, at this time they are not available for the IRWS. Watch for update!!
Being able to enter AKC performance events does not constitute AKC recognition of the breed.
We are still a rare breed listed with AKC FSS."

The Association has requested that the IR&WS be able to compete in Hunt Tests & that those requests will be considered on a case-by case- basis. Results of that request will be posted when received from the AKC/FSS
