Was held Nov. 22, 2002 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds

In Turlock California, after the conclusion of the Golden Valley Kennel Club AKC show.

Winners dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed, "Waidman's Ailin" Owned by Gary and Bev Andersen.

There were 15 IRWS entered, with a total entry of 22.

The Nationals drew entries from Washington and Arizona.

Longtime Irish Setter breeder and Professional Handler Mrs. Jeanette Holmes

Was judging all regular & non-regular classes and awarded Best of Breed to Waidman’s Ailin, owned by Gary and Beverly Andersen, Best of Opposite Sex to litter sister Nat.Jr.Ch.Waidman’s Ailidh, owned by Christina Phillips.

Best Brood bitch went to ARBA Ch. IABCA Int.Ch. LocMor Auld Lang Syne.

Mrs. Dixie Rae Sick judged Sweepstakes , PeeWee class & Junior Showmanship classes.

She awarded Best Junior to Lauran McNay with her IRWS Vanders Victorian Legacy.

Best Veteran in Sweepstakes was ARBA,SKC,Int.UCI WsCh-S Ch. Patricia O’Kent, owned by Sharon Pikell

She awarded Best in Sweepstakes to Waidman’s Ailin, owned by Gary and Beverly Andersen and Best of Opposite Sex to Int.Jr.Ch. Waidman’s Ailidh, owned by Christina Phillips

Best PeeWee, Waidman’s Blathin, owners Taylor and Christina Phillips.

Good dogs and nice people, great trophies, raffle and plenty of food made this 2 nd. National Specialty a memorable occasion.
