2001 FIRST INDEPENDENT NATIONAL SPECIALTY & HUNT TEST

On October 6, 2001 the first Independent National Specialty & Hunt Test was held in Ringoes NJ at Hi Hill Farm, home of Association members Peter & Mollie Heide. With an entry of 29, Breed expert, breeder/judge Mrs. Muriel Iles (Glennessa Kls) of Hampshire England chose for her Best of Breed "AM/CAN. RB ch. Robi Lee Fire Sky, JH, CGC" owners Wayne & Lee Robinson of NH and Best of opposite Sex was "Cormallen First Light" owned by Glenn McDermott of VA.

Sweepstakes AKC Judge Tom Feneis awarded Best in Veterans Sweepstakes to "CAN. Ch. Caniscaeli Two Is Bran Dill" owner Dr. Pat Ua Siaghail of Canada and Best of Opposite Sex to "Am A1/Can RB ch. Glennessa Fire on Ice, JH, CGC, RTD" owned by Wayne & Lee Robinson of NH.

Best Puppy was "Aisling Cudo Is Rosin Na Laoi" owned by Kathy Pellerito of Bricktown, NJ

Best In Sweepstakes was awarded to "Redwing Pellas Green Rainbow" owner Mitzi Fisher of KY and Best Of Opposite Sex was "Dalriach Alchemy" owned by Anna Jones of NJ and Lee Robinson of NH.

Color Class, 19 R&W's entered Best Of Breed

HUNT TEST

The Association's first Hunt Test was also held on October 6, 2001 in the AM. Our AKC HT judge Mal Decker from PA judged 6 braces with an entry of 12 R&W's. Six R&W's received high qualifying scores. Highest score was earned by 13 years young "Glennessa Fire On Ice" followed by "Robi Lee Fire Star", "Robi Lee Fire Sky" owners Wayne and Lee Robinson of NH, "Autumnwood Great Lady" owned by Lee Robinson and Anna Jones of NJ, "Redwing's Shamrock's Mollie" owned by Cyrstal Lewis of KY and "Ardbraccan Grainne" owned by Debbie Cournoyer of RI. All of the above either won or placed in their class at the specialty proving that this is truly a dual hunting breed. Lovely to watch in the field or in the breed ring.........
